Jack & Imogene  Quinlan*

The late Jack A. Quinlan, bba '48 and jd '51, was born October 20, 1922 in Marceline, Mo.  He graduated from Topeka High School. He served as a fighter pilot during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart among a variety of distinguished medals. While at Washburn he was a member of the Alpha Delta fraternity. After his graduation from the School of Law, he practiced for 57 years. He was a former partner in the Topeka law firm of Scott, Quinlan and Hecht and served as counsel with Scott, Quinlan, Willard & Barnes.  He was a Kansas state senator from 1964 - 1968. Jack was an active volunteer for many community and state organizations. He married Imogene Ransdell on October 19, 1946 in Topeka.  She attended Washburn and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha in 1947. They had three daughters. Jack passed away on March 1, 2008 and Imogene on August 13, 2015.
