Mark Beffort, bba '85, was born August 17, 1962. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Kan. He attended Washburn University and received a degree in Finance. At Washburn, he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Interfraternity Council, and was the starting wide receiver on the football team. Immediately after graduating college, he was hired at CB Richard Ellis and began his career in real estate. After several years as a successful commercial real estate broker, he began adding office investments to his personal portfolio and holds a vested interest in multiple properties in downtown Oklahoma City.  Beffort led the establishment of Grubb & Ellis- Beffort Brooks Hogan in 1996 and affiliated with Grubb & Ellis, a global full-service real estate company, in 1998. Now, he is the CEO of Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort. He continually supports the development and growth of Oklahoma City by serving on several boards including Downtown Oklahoma City, Inc., Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement and Myriad Gardens Foundation.
