Robert M. Harvey, ba '64, was born on June 26, 1941 in Horton, Kan. He graduated from Highland Park High School and earned his B.A. from Washburn in music. After serving in the US Army he moved to southern California. He worked on the Apollo mission and other NASA projects before joining his brother, Leland, as a financial systems consultant. Eventually he formed his own corporation, Robert Harvey & Associates in New York where he implemented accounting software for major Fortune 500 companies.  In 2004, Harvey retired and attended classes in landscape design at the New York Botanical Gardens in New York City. The Harvey Family Garden is a memorial to his twin brother, Leland. Harvey supports many Washburn endeavors, including the Mulvane Art Museum.
