Jeffrey Ungerer, bba '76, jd '82, was born on July 18, 1954. He received a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in accounting from Washburn University in 1976. While at Washburn he was involved in Phi Kappa Phi and Sagamore men's honor society. He also received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Washburn School of Law in 1982 and a master of science in accounting from Oklahoma State University in 1977.

Ungerer is general counsel at MRV, Inc., a real estate company that houses nine staff in Topeka. The company works on commercial and multi-residential partnerships. Jeff is an accomplished attorney in a variety of fields. He works primarily in the areas of taxation (federal and multi-state income), estate and business planning, probate and trusts, real estate, and business organizations. Jeff is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Jeff taught at Washburn University as an assistant professor of taxation for the School of Business from 1978 to 1987 and an adjunct professor of taxation for the Law School from 1982 to 1990. He is a frequent lecturer for professional and community organizations.  Jeff is also a member of the community advisory board for the Entrepreneur Center in the Washburn University School of Business.

Jeff is married to Mary Ungerer. They have two children.
