Glenda  Cafer

Born in Missouri, Glenda Cafer has spent the majority of her life in Topeka. Her association with Washburn University started in 1967 when her father, Glenn Cafer, came to Washburn as the men's basketball and golf coach. She has continued her involvement with Washburn through scholarships and service with the Washburn University Foundation and the Washburn Scholarship Fund. She received her BBA from Washburn University in 1983 and her JD from Louisianna State University in 1987. Glenda's career has taken her from the position of General Counsel with the Kansas Corporation Commission to private practice with Cafer Pemberton LLC, practicing primarily in the area of public utility law. 

Glenda is the mother of three girls. One attends Washburn University and another is a graduate of Washburn Law School.
